PDAs Have Limited I/O Capability

With their smallish screens and limited power, PDA's don't do well at receiving or transmitting large amounts of data. Outfitted with the right peripherals, they can perform some useful I/O, but a Palm just can't burn a CD or serve up Gigabytes of files.

Even on a personal level, entering data can be an issue. A thumbpad or even Grafitti is not and can't be as fast as a full-size keyboard.
