Programming Considerations - Screen Size
With only 160x160 pixels to work with, a lot of thought must be put
into the user interface. There isn't room to have multiple windows up,
or other such luxuries. Most applications take the form of a small set
of windows, with the most commonly-used elements quickly available.
The addition of grayscale helps somewhat, and the fact that the screen
refresh can be up to 85Hz is pretty nice, but still, it takes work to
come up with a good, usable interface.
