Getting PRC-Tools

Most distributions contain some form of Palm programming tools, but they are frequently out-of-date. For example, SUSE 7.2 contains a version of prc-tools intended for Palm OS 2.0, whereas the current version is 4.0.

For prc-tools, the best thing to do is go straight to the home page of the project on Sourceforge, here. You can get RPMs or, if you're adventurous, a set of patches to apply to gcc. Note that currently a lot of the sample code doesn't work too well with some of the more recent tools.

For pilrc, it's maintained here; click on the link in the lower left. Also check out the "patch-zone" link on the pilrc page.
